Bruce an experienced senior geologist and public company director. He previously held the position of Chief Geologist at Porgera, a large Intrusive Related Gold System deposit similar to the style of mineralisation being targeted by Tectonic Gold. At the time, Porgera was producing 1 million ounces of gold per annum and was one of the largest gold mines in the world.

Following his successful technical career in mining with major international gold companies such as Dominion Mining, Placer Dome and Plutonic Resources, Bruce became a consultant to the industry and professional director. He co-founded Ophir Partners, a resources and energy industry consulting firm assiting groups in building high impact boards and senior management teams. He brings his knowledge from consulting to many leading international exploration and mining companies to his role as Chairman of Tectonic Gold and in leading the Remuneration and Nomination Committee.

Bruce is a national Councilor for the Association of Mining and Exploration Companies (AMEC) and Chairman of the Sydney branch of The Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (MAusIMM). He is also a member of The Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (MCIM); The Society of Economic Geologists (MSEG) and The Australian Institute of Company Directors (MAICD). Bruce has an M.Sc. (Earth Sciences) from Waikato University and an MBA from Deakin University.
